Welcome to Kopano School
Celebrating 50 Years of History
Kopano School is at the frontier of academic discovery. Those who venture here to learn and grow join nearly five decades of students in the pursuit of truth, knowledge, and a better world.
Our History
Kopano is a CHOPS and ISASA member school that was established in 1972 in the mining town of Selebi-Phikwe. Originally intended for education for the children of BCL Mine employees, Kopano became an independent private school in 2002.
Our Mission
Kopano is committed to fostering a culture where everyone can thrive, a key to which is ensuring that we each experience a profound sense of inclusion and belonging. Our Motto is "Not For Ourselves But For All"
Our Vision
Kopano is perhaps best-known because of its enduring history of innovation in education. Even die-hard Kopano alumni are not likely to know all of these Kopano firsts and historical snippets.
